KCA Mental Health Services have over 20 years experience of delivering primary care psychological therapies. We are accredited as an IAPT (Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies) service under the Any Qualified Provider system in Surrey. We are pleased to offer the following opportunities for Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner roles.

Full time 37.5 hours per week
Fixed term contract until completion of training
Established, supportive teams based across Surrey, with office hubs in Woking and Reigate
Associated with A High Cost of Living Allowance, paid in addition to the salary
Salary: £18,838 (Agenda for Change Band 4 increasing to Band 5 on successful completion of the year training).
PWPs are trained to assess and deliver low intensity interventions such as guided self help, telephone support and brief 1:1 psychological interventions to people suffering with anxiety and depression. During the training:

One day at the University of Surrey during term time plus one study day in service each week.
Remaining days in service applying your new skills - with high quality supportive supervision.
The course is at postgraduate level and you will need to be able to demonstrate your ability to study at this level. You must have some experience of working (paid or unpaid) in a mental health service, or with people who are experiencing mental health difficulties. Previous relevant training will also be considered.

Commissioning under the Any Qualified Provider /Payment by Results system requires a staged payment solution in relation to Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, and the agreed starting salary will be paid in incremental stages, every 13 weeks, with a final bonus amount paid upon the successful completion of both the course and the required amount of appointments offered.
