Want to post job adverts here? Advertisers information

Post by miriam » Fri Feb 01, 2008 11:19 am

Anyone is welcome to post a job advert in here upon payment of a small charge. This charge applies to all advertisers or recruitment agencies (whether the post is paid or voluntary), so posts of these types will be removed until payment is received. Please email clinpsyforum@gmail.com for details of our advertising charges. You will find them highly competitive compared to the alternatives - they start at just £40! Please note that due to concerns about exploitation and avoidance of the minimum wage, the wording of any post advertising unpaid positions has to be approved in advance by the moderating team.

Advertising is our only source of revenue to offset against the site running costs, but we limit this to the banners and threads in specific sections to try to ensure that this is not obtrusive whilst ensuring it is visible to those who might be interested. Because we are selective and only display relevant advertising, the adverts should be a benefit to our members as well as bringing in income for the site. In particular the job adverts in this section often offer opportunities that are not advertised elsewhere (and are thus less competitive than those on the main job sites).

We have a large regular membership of psychology students, graduates and mental health staff, plus qualified clinical psychologists, so this is a niche audience to target. We are able to provide not only a text advert in this section, but can also offer a range of other advertising solutions, dependent on your needs and budget (see for example the banner adverts currently on the site) and we can offer unbeatable levels of page-views and click-throughs for prices well below other options.

Our members are a receptive audience for job adverts. These could be NHS posts, posts in academia, charities or private companies. They can be honorary or paid positions. They can be short term contracts, bank work, locum posts, or permanent and part or full time. Posts can be aimed at psychology students, psychology graduates, or qualified clinical psychologists, or related professional groups. Advertisers benefit from a high quality rather than a high volume response, and our many repeat advertisers demonstrate the fantastic value for money advertising on http://www.clinpsy.org.uk provides.

Please note in your advert if it is being advertised elsewhere, and give suitable contact details to find out more. If you are advertising a post for a psychology graduate, you must indicate within your text that supervision will be provided, and the profession of the person providing the supervision, otherwise adverts may be removed until this information is provided. You must name the employing organisation and the location of the post. Where posts are unpaid, you must be clear about what the role will entail and not imply that this will lead to guaranteed paid work or career advancement (unless this is something included in your contract). We only accept adverts that we consider to be ethical and relevant to our audience. We will not post adverts which appear exploitative or otherwise raise concern for the moderating team.

This site reaches a membership of over 6800 people with an interest in clinical psychology, and is browsed by over 350,000 unique visitors per month. This forum had over 10 million page views over the last year from people with an interest in the practise of psychology. So, this is a very targeted form of advertising with low cost!
