Assessments take place around you, reports can be done from home, and you will be able to work independently around your timetable and schedule.

The role will include assessments with a trauma and attachment focus to recommend interventions provided by the Adoption Support Fund.

A typical example of an assessment would involve assessing a child or young person who has been adopted and experienced early trauma or neglect. Using, your knowledge of attachment and trauma you would be able to recommend the most appropriate interventions provided by the Adoption Support Fund. On average each case is between 19 and 30 hours for assessment, liaison, report writing and a review meeting. You will be part of an experienced and supportive team who can provide you with support.

There is also scope for providing therapeutic interventions to children and young people who have been adopted. These interventions usually take place weekly on a 3 to 12 month basis.

We have both full-time and part-time positions available, and there are employed and associate options. You can choose to accept or not to accept cases, this role is flexible, in line with your experience and availability.

The majority of work will be within the Greater Manchester area but there are opportunities for work in; Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Leeds, Stoke, Cheshire, Crewe and surrounding areas. Pay is competitive.
