Publications for the new issue of Aspire!
Hello Users of ClinPsy!
After a long hiatus we are in the process of compiling a new issue of our e-magazine, Aspire.
We are actively looking for additional articles submitted by forum members on topics such as:
- Your daily professional life (i.e day to day tasks - monday to friday)
- Your professional/life journey thus far
- An accessible digest of some research you have been involved in,
- A thought piece on the ever changing nature of the NHS (NHS vs private work)
- An article about working with a particular model or client group
- A review of a psychology related book you have recently read.
This is a brilliant opportunity for individuals who feel they have unique or insightful knowledge which could help others looking to gain a place on the clinical psychology doctorate. It is also a good opportunity for individuals who are looking to enhance their CVs! If you are interested in this opportunity to contribute to the new issue of Aspire, please send your piece to Niccole@lifepsychol.co.uk by the end of 15th July 2018 for consideration.
We look forward to receiving your articles.
Thank you

Hello
I'm keen to write a piece for Aspire, however since the deadline has now passed would it still be accepted?
Thanks!

Yes, we are still collecting contributions until the end of the month at least, and there will be another issue within 6 months even if it doesn't fit within the current issue.

Call for submissions for Aspire 8 - Evidence vs. Experience
Hello Forum-Users!
As I am sure many of you are aware, the latest issue of Aspire (7) is now available to download on the forum. If you would like the chance to see an article of your own featured in the next issue of Aspire, we are currently accepting submissions until April 30th. The theme of the issue will be “Evidence vs. Experience”, so we particularly welcome any article contributions in this area.
We will be bringing back “The Great Debate” for this issue and would like two forum members to provide their unique experience to create an article supporting one of the following statements.
1) Evidence-based practice is the most important tool of a practitioner.
2) Experience, and clinician’s intuition, is the most important tool of a practitioner.
Other ideas for articles could include, but are not limited to:
- Your daily professional life (i.e. a breakdown of your working week Monday – Friday).
- A review of a psychological book or TV programme.
- A digest of current affairs within psychology.
- An accessible digest of a piece of research you have been involved in / are excited about.
- Your professional life / journey so far.
- Any format of article you have previously enjoyed from Aspire.
We encourage creativity at Aspire so if you have something that you are passionate about, please get in touch to discuss your ideas!
This is a great way to share your specialist knowledge and ideas with other professionals and those aspiring to psychological roles. It is also a great opportunity for psychology students or graduates to enhance your CV and potentially gain a publication. Please contact clinpsyforum@gmail and copy in aaron@lifepsychol.co.uk with any queries regarding articles or to submit a contribution.
Many thanks for your contribution to Aspire and we look forward to receiving your articles.

Aspire 8 Submissions
Hi All,
We have received some excellent articles so far, but there is still room for more! We are therefore extending the deadline for submissions. If you are interested in submitting us a piece please contact us on the details provided above. Once we have received enough expressions of interest I will update the thread to state that submissions are closed.
Thanks for your continued interest in Aspire!

Hi there
I know it's been since May but I was wondering if the submission deadline for Aspire is still open? If not, when will be the next opportunity to submit an article?
