Sedated: How Modern Capitalism Created our Mental Health Crisis

Post by Keeprunning »

Has anyone read this book:

Sedated: How Modern Capitalism Created our Mental Health Crisis by James Davies

I think it is one of the most powerful and helpful books I have read, both professionally and personally, regarding mental health and the world of work.

Chapter 4 specifically focused on IAPT, it's conception and the damages it causes for both staff and patients.

I would love to hear from others who have read it!

Brilliant, hope you managed to get a copy? If so, have you made a start on it yet?

I'm currently reading this and finding it very eye-opening. I'll be reading James' previous book, Cracked, next, all about Psychiatry and Pharmaceuticals.
