Third time applicant but first time posting in one of the progress threads (I wish I had done so sooner!) I wanted to share to help give some hope to people who have applied multiple times with no luck getting to interview.

1st application (2020-21)
UCL
Essex
Hertfordshire
Royal Holloway

2nd application (2021-22)
UCL
Essex
Hertfordshire
UEL - invited to test

3rd application (2022-23)
UCL
Essex
Hertfordshire
UEA

I honestly can’t believe it! I know the interview is another hurdle, and who knows if I’ll actually get a place this year, but I am so surprised by how different this year is to previous years. I know this process can be so hard and I’m sending love to everyone else going through it right now.

So, I haven't posted on these threads for a few years because it got too depressing to do so. This is my 7th year applying (I started applying way too early!!). Previously I have had 3 interviews at Lancaster, but never invited to interview to anywhere else or even on the reserve. I am typing this today because I'm assuming there must be other people like me, who watch the thread to see what's moving, but feel like it's never going to happen.

Lancaster
Manchester
Bangor

Liverpool 16th on reserve!

I know that this doesn't mean that I am going to be any more successful at the interview bit, but it feels like people who have seen my application form are finally taking notice and I am hoping that this gives some hope to people out there who may be in a similar boat.
