UCL Reserve list number 39 of 50!! (Obviously won't get an interview from that, but I had resigned myself to straight rejections this year, so actually pretty thrilled with it!)

First time applying; waited a few years after undergrad to learn & gain experience in a couple roles before I felt ready to apply.

Feelings of imposter syndrome are extremely strong atm!

I've lurked on this forum for a long time, so feels weird to be finally posting, but I think it's helpful to see the highs and lows of the application process for everyone. Good luck all!

Feeling incredibly fortunate with a large dose of imposter syndrome about these outcomes. For people following this thread I think it's important to know that I'm a slightly older applicant who as I said above, waited a number of years before applying. Good luck to everyone!

First year ever applying, was not sure what to expect, application submitted five mins before deadline

Only applied to two places due to personal circumstances:

EDINBURGH
GLASGOW - was not expecting to even get a reserve for interview!

Herts
UCL
Coventry & Warwick
UEA - UEA

Was not expecting much being on an interview reserve list, but over the moon that I've been given the opportunity to attend interview at UEA! Nerves are now kicking in, it's starting to feel real again.

2nd year applying, last year was offered an interview and withdrew for personal reasons (that was a very harrowing decision).

First time posting and also first application (I'm an older applicant, had a big career change and currently an AP) - the wait to hear back has been truly agonising but honestly just very grateful to have one interview! Best of luck to everyone. :D

So glad that's over! On reflection, I think if I was younger I'd not have bothered applying this year. Did so because I'm 38 and feeling the pressure to make up for lost time. I had only been an AP for six weeks at the time of applying (after c.18 months in support work roles) and though my supervisor was lovely about providing a reference, he barely knew me! Still, now I'm clear on the application process and what they look for, and I can focus in hard on getting clinical & research experience in before November. Onwards and upwards. And I'm pleased to have made one reserve list at least!
